A Healthy Creek, a Healthy Community
The Amazon Creek Initiative
The Long Tom Watershed Council has a vision for enhancing Amazon Creek and the lands connected to it. Through a Pesticide Stewardship Partnership, LTWC and our partners are working to reduce pesticide levels in the creek, unite urban and rural communities, and improve the watershed we all share and have a stake in.
You are the Watershed
As Amazon Creek becomes healthier, our community will benefit as well. There are many ways to participate in making this happen, and the watershed council is here to support your interest in revitalizing an essential community asset. Help us build a critical mass of interest and action--become an early supporter of the Amazon Creek Initiative and contact us today!

Emerging from its headwaters just east of Spencer butte, Amazon Creek winds its way through all facets of our community: residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural. The Amazon Creek Watershed collects water from all the land shaded in the map above and drains into the Long Tom River.
