Grants Available for Watershed Work

There are many sources of grants for watershed work. The Long Tom Watershed Council has funded its work so far with Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) grants and significant cash and services contributions from private and local business, organizations, citizens, and local and federal government.

If you are a private landowner, one of the most straightforward ways to fund your project is the OWEB Small Grant Program (see below). There are also many programs available from state, local and federal agencies. It will take a little research to make sense of all the opportunities and choose who you’d like to work with, but your patience will bear fruit.

You can click here for a reference list of people who can tell you about the programs they work with. Please see our "Council Projects” section for examples of projects we’ve done.

If you have developed a grant proposal and are looking for a letter or support from the Long Tom Watershed Council, please read our proposal support guidelines, available from the on-line library, and then contact the Council at 683-6578.
