Oak Savanna Enhancement at Brown’s

LTWC worked with the Browns to improve 13 acres of oak savanna habitat and 11 acres of upland prairie. This site on the southern Eugene ridgeline connects an important corridor of upland oak and prairie restoration sites, including projects down with other private landowners partnering with LTWC, the BLM, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the City of Eugene, and The Nature Conservancy. Goals of this project included restoring habitat for upland songbirds such as the Oregon Vesper Sparrow.
