What are some ways to participate in the Council?
One of the best ways that an individual can support the Watershed Council is by simply getting the word out. We encourage people to use their natural skills, strengths, ideas, and connections to pitch in where they see a need. A volunteer may help by monitoring water quality, planting trees, representing us at meetings, helping at tabling events/booths, maintaining our website, organizing workshops, helping to write grants, data entry, and much more. If you are interested in volunteering virtually anything that you can contribute is welcome!
You can let us know if you're interested in volunteering for the Council by filling out our "Interest and Involvement Form" and mailing it to the Council or by contacting one of our staff.
Mail Interest and Involvement form to:

Since Fall 2010, an enthusiastic team of over 30 volunteers have checked fish traps and tagged cutthroat trout as part of the Council's Cutthroat Migration Study to track the season migration patterns of trout in the Bear and Ferguson Creek basins. This information will help us understand how and when cutthroat move as well as how fish passage barriers and water quality impacts productivity of our local fishery.
