Embracing New Opportunities and Honoring Progress
The Long Tom Watershed Council held the 2024 Annual Celebration at the Long Tom Grange on October 24. It was a beautiful evening filled with friends, supporters, and great energy. Staff members provided updates on projects including Friends of Eugene House, an increased number of cultural burn sites, and the forward momentum on the Monroe Dam Removal project. The highlight of the presentations was some sharing by one of the young participants of the Traditional Ecological Inquiry Program (TEIP). Great food was provided by Gingko Catering and the Never Ever Band rounded out the evening with some lively folk and dance music. Special thanks go out to event sponsors: the Carnine Family, Gary and Jo Holzbauer, Bauman Tree Farm, Royal Blue Organics, Margaret McDonald and Thomas Lively, Lane Forest Products, and Rebecca Hale. Thanks to all attendees. See you at the next one!
