HOW TO NAME THE LONG TOM WATERSHED COUNCIL AS A BENEFICIARY:

 

The following language may aid you and your attorney in preparing your bequest to the Long Tom Watershed Council. This language is not intended as legal advice.

I hereby give to the Long Tom Watershed Council (LTWC), a nonprofit corporation organized in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon,

a) The sum of  $__________
b) _______% of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate.
c) The following described property* __________.

The Board shall use this gift: __________ (see examples below)

Examples:

. . . at the Director’s discretion.
. . . for the education and outreach program.
. . . for the restoration program.

Please contact the council if you’d like to discuss directing your gift to a program or opportunity you don’t see reflected here.

*Please note the LTWC cannot receive property without prior knowledge, as we would want to make sure we can provide for proper stewardship of any real property before accepting that responsibility of ownership or real interest. Please contact the LTWC directly to discuss a potential gift of real estate or interest therein.

 If you choose to name the Long Tom Watershed Council as a beneficiary, first, thank you.  If you are willing to do so, please let us know of your plans. This will enable us to show our appreciation of your generosity, although we would honor any request for anonymity. This would also enable us to include your support in planning for the future of the watershed council and its work.
