There Is Plenty to Celebrate!

Even in the dynamic year of 2020, there is plenty to celebrate in the Long Tom Watershed. Join us from November 12 to 17 on this page and on Facebook for a series of short videos capturing diverse voices of our watershed sharing what inspires them about our watershed and its people, and what gives them hope for the future. It will all culminate in an evening celebration and fundraiser on November 17th at 6 p.m with a live debut screening of these voices and others in a short 15 min film “Building a Better Tomorrow Together.”

Help us Reach our $10,000 Goal

We at the Council are continually inspired by our watershed community. Your diverse talents, passions, collective wisdom, and generosity are essential to keeping our important work going. In 2020 alone, you’ve helped us leverage your time, ideas, and gifts into nearly $2.2 million dollars in new grants and contracts for restoration, planning, and community engagement. Your gifts are vitally important to improve the health of our watershed for all of us. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to support amazing and cutting-edge work in the Long Tom Watershed! We’ve already secured $3600 from local gifts. Please help us meet our goal by giving whatever is meaningful to you.

WAYS TO GIVE:

  • Use the form below to pay with your credit card OR Mail a check, payable to LTWC, to 11 East 27th Ave, Eugene, OR 97405
  • Purchase LTWC logo wear: hats, plush otters, and steel pint glasses
  • *With your gift of any amount, be it $1,000 or $1.00, you will be entered into a drawing to win a prize that will be announced during November 17th’s live event. Prizes will feature wine a copy of “Along the Long Tom River: Observations from Past and Present” – a book by David Turner; wine from High Pass Winery and Brigadoon Winery; LTWC logo wear; and gift certificates from local businesses.

Celebration Highlights (November 12 – 17)

Since we can’t gather together this year, we are trying something new!

Listen, Learn, and Enjoy! This year’s celebration will be a multi-day, virtual event featuring a series of short videos produced by Cliff Etzel, CE Visuals. The project partners and community members highlighted in these videos speak from the heart on their connection to the watershed, the importance of diverse voices and perspectives, and shared stewardship.

Share a Meal Together: Our friends at Winter Green Farm have suggested some delicious fall recipes. All proceeds from each $15 CSA box were generously donated to LTWC!

November 17, 6 – 7:00 p.m. *Live Event* Tune in at 6 p.m. on our YouTube Channel for the premiere of a short 15 min film featuring voices of your neighbors and friends in the watershed telling their stories of inspiration and collaboration from the watershed community – produced by Cliff Etzel (CE Visuals).

We’ll also honor our Watershed Awardees, provide highlights from the past year, and have our prize drawing!
