Three fish passage barrier culverts were replaced with stream-simulation culverts on the Koehler property on upper Owens Creek. Stream simulation culverts provide a continuous streambed to make it easier for native aquatic species to migrate through the culvert. The Council also placed about 40 large conifer logs in the stream, which provide cover, create more pool habitat, and help trap gravels and organic matter.
